Italian Laser Marking manufacturer
About us
Strategically located in Italy's productive northern region and conveniently close to Milan Malpensa International Airport, M-Pix is an innovative company specialising in the development and production of compact laser marking solutions specifically designed for desktop printers.
With a history rooted in over 40 years of experience in the world of laser technology, M-Pix has been able to evolve constantly since its formal establishment in 2015, capitalising on its enviable human, technological and application resources.
2025 - M-Pix celebrates 10 years of success
In 2025, M-Pix celebrates its first decade of continuous growth behind the scenes of the market. This moment also marks a turning point in M-Pix's communication strategy, which from this point forward begins to tell the world about its stories of innovation and success based on a vision that sees direct laser printing as a valid alternative to more widely used printing technologies such as thermal transfer and inkjet printing.
2023 - M-Pix starts producing printers
The natural evolution of M-Pix's strategy to provide compact laser marking solutions has led the company to start producing complete desktop laser printers with mechanics, electronics and software. The new LPK product line represents a turning point for the company that consolidates its leadership position in the compact laser marking sector by offering high-performance turnkey solutions to its customers. M-Pix also establishes itself as a reliable contract manufacturing partner for OEM customers, providing custom and scalable solutions that meet specific market needs.
2022 - M-Pix halves the size of its markers
Thanks to powerful investments in the miniaturisation of our proprietary platform, we have succeeded in drastically reducing the physical size of our laser markers, launching the MPK series on the market, the most compact in its category. This innovation has allowed us to open new markets and applications previously inaccessible to laser markers, further consolidating M-Pix's position as a leader in compact laser marking.
2021 - M-Pix excels in digital histopathology
M-Pix has been a pioneer in promoting the use of its compact markers for histopathological sample traceability in close collaboration with the most important players in the sector. The collaboration culminated in the development of dedicated laser marking solutions for microscope slides and histological cassettes, which significantly improved sample traceability, enabling more precise analyses and accurate reassessments of more complex clinical cases.
2015 - M-Pix re-invents cable tagging
M-Pix was founded in 2015 with the primary objective of developing and producing compact and affordable laser marking solutions for integration in desktop printers. From its inception, M-Pix has contributed to the spread of laser printing technology on plastic tags for cable and equipment identification, effectively opening the way for this technology in the specific sector.
2001-2004 - IXLA
In the early 2000s, Laservall founded IXLA, the first company dedicated to the decentralised personalisation of digital identity documents using laser technology. IXLA introduced a revolutionary compact laser printer to the market, which ended up winning the first major government project for the issuance of digital identity cards directly to citizens, with over 450 units installed throughout Spain, paving the way for what would later become the evolution of M-Pix in this important sector.
1993-2004 - Laservall
Founded in 1993, Laservall becomes one of the first manufacturers of laser technology in Europe. Among the most relevant innovations introduced by the company are the JLK, the first pulsed laser for gold chain welding without altering the purity, and the Violin, presented at the Laser World Of Photonics in Munich in 1997, the first DPSS laser marking system in the world completely air-cooled for industrial marking.
1985-1993 - Laser Italia
The first company to commercialise laser technology for industrial applications in Italy with respected references such as FIAT Research Centre and Luxottica.
In general, M-Pix is committed to surpassing traditional printing technologies such as thermal transfer and inkjet printing, offering economical, compact and easily integrable laser marking engines for desktop printers.
